School Drive
For the neighborhood that made Well Kept what it is.
Eight years on 32nd Street, and every one of them the shop has run a Back to School Drive. This year the two land together. Free book bags and school supplies for Astoria families, and on September 2nd the anniversary itself: free kids haircuts, food, and the whole block invited. No purchase, no sign up, no catch.
Opening day only. Bring the kids in and start the school year looking sharp.
Notebooks, pencils, crayons, rulers, and the rest of the list. Free to families, while supplies last.
Finger foods and drinks on the anniversary, September 2nd. Come celebrate eight years.
A single bag has it packed inside. Whoever picks that one, gets it.
These come back around every year. Dates get posted in the shop window and on Instagram as each one gets close.
Book bags packed with school essentials, handed out free to families in the neighborhood, plus free kids haircuts on the opening day.
The shop becomes a drop off point for non perishable food, and everything collected goes to Astoria families before the holiday. Bring what you can when you come in for a cut.
New, unwrapped toys collected at the shop all month and distributed to local kids before Christmas. Drop one off, get a thank you, keep it moving.
Walk in during shop hours or book ahead so the chair is ready when you get here.
